About the role
We are looking for energetic, customer-focused individuals with a good understanding of civil infrastructure maintenance to join our dynamic team.
The positions involve fieldwork and will include a range of labouring and plant operating activities related to infrastructure maintenance.
One position will involve maintenance of the City stormwater infrastructure assets and ideally would suit applicants with experience operating Vacuum Loaders, Jet Trucks or Combo units in Drain Cleaning or Non Destructive Digging activities.
The other position is leading a small team in the maintenance of Street Furniture and Lighting assets within the City streets and public domain.

To be successful in the role you will need:
- A Certificate level qualification in a related fieldorextensive practical experience in a trade or construction, restoration and maintenance of civil infrastructure assets.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading a civil or trades maintenance team in a high traffic high pedestrian location, in the repair and maintenance of infrastructure assets including roads, footways, stone kerb, pavers, stormwater drainage, street signage, street and park furniture or lighting.
- A current C Class licence and be willing to obtain an MR/HR licence in the first six months of employment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a safe working environment, including experience in onsite risk assessment and control of identified hazards, SWMS compliance and site traffic control.
- be capable of delivering high quality customer service and to promote a professional image to customers of the City.
- Be physically able to carry out labouring work and be prepared to acquire additional skills.
- Hold a Work Cover General Induction Card.
