Snowy Monaro Regional Council is currently seeking motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our Water & Wastewater team, with multiple positions available across the region.

In these roles, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the region’s water and wastewater systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards, helping to support the health and wellbeing of our community every day.

Positions available: -

Operator Network (Cooma, Jindabyne) $67,487/year + allowances – carry out a variety of tasks in the repair & maintenance of the water wastewater networks

Team Leader Drainage (Jindabyne) $72,822/year + allowances – lead a small team of network operators servicing broken pipes, valve replacements, sewer chokes and general maintenance

Team Leader Reticulation (Jindabyne) $72,822/year + allowances – lead a team carrying out water meter replacements, repairs and maintenance of the network

Operator Network (Civil Maintenance) (Cooma) $67,487/year + allowances - work in a team maintaining our water wastewater network completing a variety of civil tasks

Trainee Water Wastewater (Jindabyne & Bombala) – kickstart your career and learn on the job whilst gaining a qualification in a rapidly growing industry.  Salary dependent upon age.

Assistant Technician (Temporary 12 months, Jindabyne) $69,362/year + allowances – work across the water and sewer plants and also carry out repairs and maintenance of all water wastewater assets

Team Leader Network (Bombala) $72,822/year + allowances  - lead a team maintaining and repairing water and sewer pipes and general maintenance of the network

Team Leader Civil Maintenance (Cooma) $72,822/year + allowances - manage a small team maintaining our water wastewater network completing a variety of civil tasks

All roles require (at a minimum*) -

• Current drivers licence
• General Construction White Card
• Demonstrated ability to operate small plant and hand tools competently
• Willingness to obtain further training in the water industry

*with the exception of trainees

Being an essential service to the community, you should be prepared for after-hours work and on-call work. A willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations is also required to ensure your health and safety.
