We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents.
The role
We are looking for a community focused Security Officer to join CBCity! You will be primarily working at the Bankstown civic tower on a casual basis. (Depending on operational needs, you will be working at other building facilities located within Council’s local government area). You will provide consistent professional and safe level of security services to council, its property, employees, customers and the public within the Civic precinct. This includes, but is not limited to routine patrols, reporting of unauthorised visitors/vandalism and undertaking basic maintenance tasks.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Patrol buildings and car parks to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor alarms, report incidents, vandalism, and unauthorised access.
- control parking, manage visitors and contractors, and issue passes.
- Secure buildings after hours and complete basic cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Assist tenants, staff, and the public and complete other duties.

You will have
- Current 1AC Security licence
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Previous security experience and dealing with hostile situations.
- Strong customer focus and communication skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with situations at all levels including with management.
- Ability to work in a rotating shift roster including night and weekend shifts.
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $39.23 hourly rate (Grade B, Step 1) + 12% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
