Join us as a Team Leader for Parks!
Lead a dedicated team managing the City's parks, landscapes, street trees, and public spaces. We're seeking an experienced, dynamic leader to help shape the future of our green spaces. Reporting to the Area Supervisor, you'll play a key role in maintaining our parks, reserves, malls, streetscapes, and car parks to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, mentor and support a high-performing team culture by clearly communicating roles, expectations, and performance standards.
- Promote safe work practices; ensuring all tools and machinery are safe and resolving equipment issues.
- Allocate staff and resources to meet operational targets and deadlines and coordinate daily use and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Monitor progress and provide daily reporting on achievements and issues.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high standards, especially in priority areas.
Who We’re Looking For:
A leader with strong horticultural knowledge, including turf management and irrigation. You will provide expert advice to staff, contractors, and the public while leading daily operations with confidence.
You will have a solid understanding of Work Health and Safety practices, including traffic management, and be skilled in identifying and managing risks, planning work schedules, and meeting deadlines.
