About the opportunity
We are currently seeking to appoint a Supervisor Security Services for our Building Construction and Maintenance section on a permanent, full-time basis. Our Security section is responsible for physical and electronic security across all sites, this includes the network of cameras, access control, alarms, and the emergency buttons located throughout Council buildings.
You will have extensive leadership experience, excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail, be vigilant and proactive, have a professional presentation and demeanour, display a strong customer service focus and have the ability to manage high pressure incidents/situations.
An ideal candidate will have previous experience within the electronic security industry, physical guarding, technical experience with Inner Range Integriti, Milestone VMS, CCTV (Hikvision and Hanwha) and AIphone intercoms. As the Supervisor Security Services you will need to be available to work mornings, afternoons and nights.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Certificate III in Security Operations
- Current NSW Security Licence Class 1A, 2A
- Current class C driver’s licence (unrestricted)
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Experienced within a minimum of 5 plus years in leading teams with multi-faceted security operations across multiple sites
- Experience using, installing and programming of security equipment (CCTV, intrusion detection and access control), general technician experience is required
- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn corporate applications
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and utilise critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and fostering team members within a learning environment, with the ability to lead, inspire, mentor, engage and recognise your team achievements
- Experience using, installation and programming of security equipment (CCTV, intrusion detection and access control), general technician experience is required.
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Security Risk Management, Security Risk Analysis, or Frontline Management
- Current NSW Security Licence 2BCD.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,730.04 per week
- 38-hour working week
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
- Leaseback vehicle
