GIS Officer

About the role

Do you have a strong background in GIS and a desire to make a positive impact in the community?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our supportive and collaborative Business Systems Group as a GIS Officer.

In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate and up-to-date spatial data, maintain key datasets, and provide mapping services to internal teams and external partners.

You'll be responsible for:

• Maintaining and updating spatial data and metadata
• Creating and managing maps and spatial products
• Supporting staff with GIS tools and systems
• Providing input to projects and consultant briefs
• Assisting emergency services with GIS support when needed

About you

We're looking for someone with:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in GIS or spatial science, or equivalent work experience
• Experience using GIS software (in particular ESRI software) and managing spatial data
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

What's on offer

• Starting salary of around $85K per annum + Superannuation
• 12-month, temporary, full-ime position of 35 hours per week
