- Salary: $80,125- $93,275 gross p.a. plus 11.5% Super
- 3% Award pay increase in July 2025, with an additional 0.5% Super
- 35 hours per week with the option of flexitime / Monday to Friday

About the Role
This is an exciting new position to supervise the small and dedicated Accounts Receivable Team and oversee the day-to-day operational activities in a fast paced, evolving, and sometimes challenging environment.
Reporting directly to the Manager - Revenue, this role provides end-to-end professional, accurate and timely AR services in compliance with legislation, policy and procedure through:
- Making recommendations in relation to existing debt, best use of systems, and effective billing practices, etc. all aimed at achieving and maintaining low levels of outstanding debt.
- Ensuring the Accounts Receivable sub ledger is maintained accurately, kept up to date, and is reconciled regularly, e.g. month end and end of year.
- Leading the efforts of debt recovery matters, including developing approaches for timely collection of overdue accounts, and appropriate referral to mercantile agent/s.
- Build relationships and knowledge across Council to enhance level of knowledge and skill, while fostering accountability for effective debt management outside of Accounts Receivable.
- Supporting the Manager - Revenue as part of the Revenue leadership team.
- Coaching, training and developing the skill set of team members to ensure staff are mutli-skilled and a depth of skill exists within the team.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Certificate IV Business/Administration or Diploma of Accounting or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable in a large organisation.
- Experience in successfully managing collections and a working knowledge of the debt recovery process (Civil Claims Procedures)
- Previous experience leading and managing a team in a high volume fast paced environment.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
