About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Electrician to join our Maintenance Services team. In this role, you will carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across Council facilities and infrastructure. You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable services to the community.
This role will work effectively, independently or as part of maintenance crew in a safe and efficient manner to deliver a prompt and reliable service to the community.
Key responsibilities include ensuring labour, equipment and material resources are available to carry out the service request/job. This role will be required to undertake basic service, cleaning and maintenance of all associated plant and equipment as well as report on all faults/risks as per process.

The successful candidate will have
You are a qualified electrician with a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a customer-focused approach. You’re confident working independently or as part of a team and take pride in delivering high-quality work that benefits the community.
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician)
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Demonstrated experience working independently and working within a maintenance crew
- Experience in providing qualified trade maintenance services and a demonstrated ability to be accountable for agreed work methods, standard and outcomes
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and/or various equipment common to cleansing, parks, civil construction and/or trades maintenance
- Understanding of and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Appropriate written and oral communication skills
