Apprentice Electrician

 

  • Salary $43,024.80 p/a to $55,816.80 p/a + super
  • Temporary full-time position (up to 4 Years)
  • 38 hours per week/ 9 day fortnight
  • Undertake general Electrician tasks and electrical maintenance activities while studying to achieve an Electrician Trade qualification

About the role

Council is seeking a passionate and motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our dedicated team.

 

As an apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience, receive professional training, and develop the skills needed to become a qualified electrician.

 

Reporting to the Supervisor Trade Services, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across council properties
  • Ensure electrical systems are compliant with relevant safety regulations
  • Work on both small and large-scale projects alongside experienced electricians
  • Learn and apply the skills required to become a fully qualified electrician

 

Required experience & skills:

  • Year 10 Record of School Achievement or Higher School Certificate
  • Commitment to complete the Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician trade qualification
  • Current Class C Driver’s licence
  • Willingness to undertake WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card) training
  • Willingness to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills evaluation with TAFE NSW
