The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced individual to participate in the delivery of mechanical maintenance, repair and capital works associated with water and sewerage assets.

As a Mechanical Trades Team Member, you will be responsible for conducting inspections to assess the performance and condition of water and sewerage infrastructure. In emergency situations, you will respond promptly to address issues. Your role includes preparing requisitions for equipment and materials, as well as providing technical information and advice to both staff and contractors.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a trade qualification in Mechanical Fitter/Welder, other relevant mechanical trade, or is commited to undertake formal study to attain the appropriate qualification.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Well-developed water and sewer mechanical fault finding, analytical and investigative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of a personal computer and the associated use of Microsoft software packages including Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Satisfactory oral and written communication skills including detailed interpretation and explanation of plans, drawings and schedules.
  • Two (2) years’ recent relevant experience in the servicing of water and sewer assets. (Indicative.)

Benefits

This is a permanent full time position working 38 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $77,293.14 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $1,333.10 per week base salary
  • $153.31 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
