Warrumbungle Shire Council
HR Systems Officer
Closes: 12 May

Description
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Manager Human Resources
Salary Range: $1,310 - $1,495 per 35 hour week + superannuation
Are you a hard-working HR/Customer Service professional who can wrangle systems, streamline processes, and still find time to share a laugh? If you’re looking for a role where your knack for detail, tech-savvy mindset, and project coordination skills are truly valued, we’ve got just the opportunity for you!
Council’s HR team is on the lookout for a collaborative, adaptable, and good-humoured individual to lead the charge in maintaining and optimising our HR systems. In this diverse role, you’ll wear a few different hats—systems guru, project manager, data analyst, and process improver—all while working closely with a friendly and experienced HR team. This role is a brilliant blend of hands-on HR systems maintenance, data integrity management, reporting and analytics, and project coordination.
Your days will be filled with variety—managing the accuracy of employee data, generating workforce reports, documenting HR procedures, and rolling out system enhancements in collaboration with HR, IT, and external vendors. You'll also lead or support projects that improve how we work, including system upgrades, new feature rollouts, and change management initiatives. Just as important, you'll be the friendly face providing one-to-one or small group training to ensure staff are confident using our systems.
We are looking for an organised, systems-savvy individual who brings both structure and personality to their work. To thrive in this role, you'll need a good grasp of HR functions and workflows, strong data skills, a sharp eye for detail, and excellent communication. You must have a positive, collaborative attitude, a touch of humour, and the ability to stay calm and focused when the unexpected pops up—because in HR, it always does.
But the best part is the team culture. We’re not just about efficiency and compliance—we’re about people. So, if you’re approachable, resilient, and value a workplace where laughs are welcome (and coffee is essential), you’ll fit right in. Bring your expertise, your initiative, and your best “HR face”—we’ll bring the support, variety, and a team that has your back.
