ABOUT THE ROLE

Position
 
We are looking for an energetic and customer focussed individual to join our Community Facilities team.
 
Reporting to the Coordinator Community Facilities, the position of Facilities Assistant is responsible for providing high level customer service and general cleaning and maintenance support for the efficient functioning of Council’s community facilities The role is diverse, involving general customer service, assisting with set up and pack down of events, and general cleaning and maintenance of the facilities.  You will also provide assistance in conducting tours and inductions and promoting the use of Council’s community facilities.
 
Coverage for the position is required seven days per week between the hours of 4.00am and 3.00pm, so the role requires a willingness and ability to work in accordance with this roster.   • Proven ability to work unsupervised, with solid time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks including set up and pack up of equipment and cleaning of facilities.

  • A base hourly rate of $32.28 (plus 11.5% superannuation). Penalty rates will be applied for work undertaken on weekends and public holidays.
