THE OPPORTUNITY

• Provide operational support for the registration and management of documents, data and information across Council’s records management systems
• Assistance with implementing new software and processes, developing efficient records management procedures, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements

Council are seeking a proactive team player with strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members and departments to ensure the accurate and efficient handling of information. You will be committed to maintaining high standards of data integrity and security, while assisting Council with our information management objectives.

The Information Management Officer is responsible for:

• Collect, process, distribute and monitor incoming correspondence and assist with the processing of all other records and information under the control of the Information Management team.
• Updating and maintaining Councils databases to ensure accurate records.
• Digitising physical records, and archiving, understanding digitising and archiving principles and policies.
• Provide support in Council’s Informal GIPA process.
• Provides advice to staff in relation to records and information management activities and enquiries.
• Provide support to the Information Management Team.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

• Certificate IV in Records Management or equivalent qualification or experience
• Driver Licence

Salary range: Grade 8: $1,155.40 - $1,250.20 per week plus 11.5% superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
