We're searching for a superstar that has excellent stakeholder management ability with a strong team and outcomes focus mentality, along with the ability to multi-task and work to strict deadlines with excellent accuracy and attention to detail to join our dynamic team.

This position will be responsible for contracts, tenders and financial compliance for operational contract administration functions. The successful applicant will ensure tendering and procurement practices are implemented and managed in accordance with Council's policies and procedures for the Operations department that comprises of Parks and Gardens, Civils and Facilities Maintenance teams.

To thrive in this role, you'll need to bring your expertise, energy, and creativity. You'll love working with others to achieve organisational goals and thinking outside the box will be second nature for you. We're looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience in either Contract Administration / Procurement functions and processes or financial management and reporting for procurement.
  • Highly developed process /administration skills.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (including negotiation and report writing).
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Well-developed documentation skills
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate-Advanced level of functionality with Ms Word, Excel and Systems software.
  • Strong ability to foster positive and professional relationships.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous local government experience
  • Relevant qualification relating to this field highly regarded.
