The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a pro-active individual to coordinate Council’s compliance with environmental requirements, strategy development and organisational reporting requirements for the Waste Services team.
As a Waste Regulations Specialist, you will develop, implement and review documented procedures, including environmental and WHS risks, and environmental management documents and plans. You will compile operational and environmental management reports including annual returns and undertake regular documented audits on compliance with WHS documents, environmental and operating procedures.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a Tertiary-level qualification in a discipline applicable to the role and/or extensive relevant professional experience.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Relevant skills and at least 3 years’ experience (indicative) in waste compliance or environmental management
- Detailed understanding of risk management in relation to safety and environmental compliance
- Understanding and application of project management principles.
- High level written, verbal and computer literacy skills.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $101,528.78 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,751.10 per week base salary
- $201.38 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
