The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality support to the Director Organisational Services, through excellent organisational governance and risk management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Coordinate governance systems and framework and provide advice and support to management to ensure compliance with LGA and other regulatory requirements
- Ensure that all formal and informal right to information requests are processed effectively ensuring compliance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 together with providing customers and staff with information on release of information and privacy matters.
- Assist in the development, review and reporting of strategic planning documents including the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, Operational Plan and Annual Report together with the coordination of performance reports
- Research, identify and, consult the implementation of any relevant legislation, policy or procedural changes applicable to the performance of the position
- Coordinate annual insurance renewals, undertake insurance claim processing as required and assist with the management of Council’s insurance portfolio in order to minimise cost and risk exposure.
- Maintain Council’s Register of Delegated Authorities and Authorised Persons.
- Manage incidents from the public
- Maintain records of legal actions involving Council, together with the maintenance of quarterly legal status reports

You are flexible, adaptable and responsive to change and can work well within a small team and autonomously.
We are seeking someone who has or is willing to obtain:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline AND three years relevant experience
- Current Class C Driver Licence
About the Role
Full time: 70-hour fortnight
Salary: Range from $94,957 to $109,200 pa + 11.5% super
