The City Performance directorate underpins the delivery of service excellence by providing expertise in financial services, procurement, governance, customer experience, property services and business technology.

About the role

The Revenue Officer is responsible for providing high-quality customer service and supporting the development, maintenance, and administration of Council’s revenue strategies, policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with organisational and statutory requirements.

About you

The successful candidate will:

  • Actively contribute to the execution of all rates and revenue activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Manage accounts receivable, ensuring all accounts are invoiced and collected in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Take proactive steps to recover outstanding debts, following Council policies and coordinating with the Council’s mercantile agent.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with team members and key stakeholders to meet business unit goals, address work requests, and align with Council priorities.
  • Play a key role in driving continuous improvements in Rates & Revenue processes within a team-oriented environment.

We are looking for a someone who demonstrates:

  • Minimum Higher School Certificate or equivalent and/or relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, including customer service skills
  • Excellent ability to use technology, including computer applications
