Since declaring a Climate Emergency in 2020, Council has embarked on an ambitious journey to achieve zero emissions by 2028 for its operations and by 2035 for the community.

Manningham has recently introduced its Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) service, which has already achieved a remarkable 50 per cent reduction in the amount of waste being sent to landfill. And, has converted Council’s owned facilities and street lights to 100 per cent renewable energy, underscoring its commitment to accountability.
