About The Team 

This role sits within our Information Management Team (IMT) which works to contribute to the achievement of Council's vision and corporate goals by supporting the development and implementation of key IT strategies, policies and procedures for all IT systems. The IMT team's key functions cover website development, communication networks (voice and data), programme development, corporate software solutions, records management, geographic information system (GIS) and general systems operations.

About You 

We’re looking for someone who has a tertiary qualification in information management techniques and/or equivalent experience in a similar role and provides the organisation with effective, efficient, customer centric, technology business support, in line with statutory regulations and standards. 

You are also someone who has demonstrated experience in research and a strong ability to analyse complex issues. You are someone who has a high level of organisational skills, including the ability to set work priorities to meet predetermined deadlines to provide quality service to key stakeholders. This role will include:

  • Carrying out installation, support and maintenance of IMT infrastructure and applications in line with ITIL service management framework
  • Carrying out installation, support and maintenance of the Standard Operating Environment software.
  • User administration of Azure, Office 365, Pulse, Technology One (T1), iAuditor and other software applications.
  • User onboarding and off boarding across all IMT Controlled systems and applications
  • Implement asset management program.
  • Efficient and accurate resolution of escalated tickets from the helpdesk.
  • Provide technical support to, and training of, Council staff in the use of software.
  • Seek to determine problems and implement appropriate resolutions that achieve best results for all stakeholders.
  • Administration of applications within assigned portfolio.
  • Conduct research & development relating to upgrades, maintenance & other enhancement of IMT capabilities using all available resources.
  • Keep abreast of technological changes within the computer industry.
  • Establish and enhance standards, procedures and documentation.
  • Conduct maintenance of the technology environment in line with the ITIL service management framework.
  • Observe all required information security standards and procedures.
  • Ensure the efficient notification of appropriate personnel in case of system or equipment failure.
  • Undertake other duties as required.

  • Salary from $72,980.48 - $84,559.01 per annum plus 11% superannuation

Essential

  • Proven ability to provide a high standard of customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively unsupervised and as a member of a small team.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess user requirements and solve problems objectively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability in providing desktop, server and network support in line with ITIL service management framework
  • Demonstrated conceptual knowledge and operational experience of operating systems, network support, and application implementation, support and change management.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a Local Government.
  • Experience in Technology One (T1), Pulse, iAuditor.
