Description

Casual employment | Temporary Tenure

Note: Council is currently transitioning out of the delivery of aged care and disability services. Temporary casual positions are currently available, with potential to transition across to a new provider.

We are looking for people to provide personalised services to assist and support people living with a disability. You will be responsible for delivering core support services to people with disability including individual support, group activities, supported independent living, and in and out of home respite including emergency respite in a variety of centre-based and community settings.

If you have…

  • Certificate III qualifications or higher in disability services / community services / individual support
    or related.
  • Availability across 24/7 roster period including weekends and overnight shifts.
  • A passion for supporting people living with disability.
  • Interest or previous experience in disability services or community services.
  • A commitment to team work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.
  • Current C class drivers licence. 

*The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks including: Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

You will be required to use your privately owned vehicle as part of this position, with business usage being reimbursed in line with the Local Government (State) Award. 

Location: Support work is available in Forster, Tuncurry, Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest.

The package:

  • Casual hourly rate of $37.25 plus superannuation (inclusive of 25% casual loading) 
  • An Adverse Working Conditions allowance of $0.48 p/h applies to this position. 

Tenure: Casual Temporary employment
