Responsibilities

As a Student Engineer (Waterways), you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving Council's stormwater asset management system and implementing flood studies and risk management plans. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing engineering plans and validating asset data
  • Undertaking condition assessment of stormwater and waterway assets 
  • Assisting in flood information requests and automation
  • Preparing concept designs for stormwater infrastructure
  • Responding to customer service requests

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Completed at least 2 years of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Environmental) degree
  • Continuing enrolment in the above standard course on a part-time basis
  • Class C driver's licence
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

  • Package: $49,899 - $60,018 gross p.a. plus 11% superannuation
  • Hours of work: Temporary full-time, 35 hours with the option of a 19 day month. Position is available for a period of up to 12 months
