The City is looking for an experienced Senior Urban Planner to join our team. You will have strong strategic thinking, research and analysis skills, an excellent understanding of the Western Australian planning system and take pride in delivering quality work.  Experience in many aspects of strategic planning and a track record in delivery is what we are looking for. 

Your focus will be:

  • Leading on projects that help to implement our Local Planning Strategy through preparation, implementation and review of planning strategies, community infrastructure planning, precinct plans, Local Development Plans and planning studies.
  • Preparing complex scheme amendments and planning policies.
  • Preparing formal submissions to State Government on matters affecting the city.
  • Providing professional strategic planning expertise to the organisation.
  • Supervising external consultants to deliver the City’s projects both on time and on budget.
