What you need to know...

  • permanent full time -70 hours per fortnight
  • the package: $92,096 - $109,827 plus superannuation, per annum
  • location - Grafton or Maclean (to be negotiated)

About the role

Do you have qualifications in Building Surveying and are looking for your next career move? As a Senior Building Surveyor at Clarence Valley Council, you will take the lead in delivering quality, customer-focused, and professional building, development assessment, and compliance-related functions.

Your expertise and collaborative approach will contribute to establishing a professional and positive culture in the delivery of building and development assessment functions within the Council. You will use your experience to mentor developing team members, and work with the Development Services Team on more complex development applications, contributing to the delivery of best practice-built form outcomes.

Previous experience within the NSW local government system is not essential. We welcome applications from the private sector and other states, fostering diverse perspectives. We're open to discussing work locations at our Grafton or Maclean offices, prioritising your work-life balance. This position is located at Council's Grafton or Maclean Office (to be negotiated), however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
