The Opportunity

Nambucca Valley Council has a rare opportunity for a professional and highly motivated individual to join our Engineering Services team as Manager Assets.

In this role, reporting to the Director Engineering Services, you will be responsible for asset management, fleet, workshop, green space, town services and buildings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining an asset management strategy and system for all Council's physical assets
  • Developing and maintaining Council's fleet replacement strategy
  • Developing and maintaining community buildings and green space facilities
  • Leading and motivating staff to maintain a high-quality level of service delivery to all Council's customers and clients
  • Providing professional advice and expertise to Council
  • Preparing annual and quarterly budgets
  • Effectively liaising and communicating with external organisations and stakeholders

Who are we looking for?

You will have a Civil Engineering degree, or equivalent, along with substantial experience relevant to the role. A key requirement is experience and ability in asset management systems and processes, including associated legislation, codes, guidelines and Standards.
