Description

Colac Otway Shire Council's Older Persons and Abilities Support Service require additional staff to meet growing service delivery needs, providing in-home and community-based support for personal care, respite support and domestic duties. This service is an integral part of Colac's highly-regarded health and community services sector with good opportunities for a rewarding career path in the Aged and Disability Services field.

The primary objective of this position is to:

  • Support people of all ages and abilities; with a focus upon capacity building, restorative care, social inclusion and maintaining or promoting a person’s capacity to live as independently and autonomously as possible.
  • A holistic person-centred approach to care that promotes wellness and active participation in goal setting and decision making.is used with timely and flexible services that respond to a person’s goals and their carer’s needs and circumstances.
  • All services are provided with collaborative relationships between providers, for the benefit of people using services.

In addition to the hourly rate you will be reimbursed for client related travel kilometres.

Salary information: $36.89 to $37.78 per hour plus superannuation.
