Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Professional looking for an opportunity that offers autonomy, flexibility and a chance to work with a mature professional team whose focus is quality relationship management.

Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing client relationships, fostering new business opportunities, and facilitating tender processes in accordance with legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate tender processes in compliance with legislative and procedural requirements.
  • Respond promptly to client needs regarding new and existing contracts.
  • Promote Regional Procurement services and identify new business opportunities.
  • Liaise with council representatives and industry stakeholders on matters relating to tenders and contract management, including enquiries, submissions, and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Support Services team on contract documentation, data collation, and invoice generation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong focus on client satisfaction and relationship management.
  • Experience and a working knowledge of the NSW Local Government Act and Local Government (General) Regulation 2021
  • Applied knowledge of customer service principles
  • Familiarity with Local Government procurement processes and tendering requirements.
  • 5 years experience in contract management and procurement
  • Current NSW Class C driver licence
