Salary:$1,269.69pw + 12% Superannuation
The On-Call allowance when you are performing on call duties is $225pw. Overtime is paid at the appropriate penalty rate
Position Status: Permanent, Full Time
Hours of Work:7:00am to 4:00pm (during summer 6:30am to 3:30pm), 38hour week with an RDO each fortnight

About the Opportunity
Cowra Council is seeking a highly motivated applicant to fill the position of Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator within the Infrastructure & Operations Department of Council.The Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is primarily responsible for operating and maintaining Council's Treatment Plants in accordance with regulatory requirements such as the Environmental Protection Act (EPA), Environment Licences, Public Health Act and Drinking Water Quality and Recycled Water Management along with performing regular maintenance and inspection of Council's reticulation system.
Key responsibilities of this role include;
- Monitoring of flow meters, pressure gauges, power usage and water & wastewater quality
- Take samples and carry out routine analyses
- Prepare reports and log details of plant operations
- Perform routine servicing and cleaning of water storage facilities, plants and pipes, and repair faults in water supply and storage systems
- Operate and maintain plant facilities
- Participate in the rotatingon-call rosterwhich will include weekends and public holidays (requirement for this position)
