Waste Administration/Customer Service Officer

  • $39.35 - $45.64 per hour + super
  • Permanent part-time position
  • 14 hours per week

About the role

Reporting to the Manager Waste & Cleansing, you will be responsible for providing provide customer service for domestic and non-domestic waste management services.



  • Maintain currency of knowledge regarding waste disposal, recycling, reuse and avoidance.
  • Action CRM, correspondence and phone calls within corporate response times.
  • Provide accurate advice to customers on disposal, recycling and other waste reduction matters.
  • Provide day to day phone contact with service contractor relating to service delivery and operational matters
  • Assist in providing updates and information to Council’s central Customer Service centre where required.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Experience working in a corporate administrative position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competency in the use of customer service software
  • Local government experience (desirable)



  • 14 hours per week
  • Work from Home (WFH) – 1 day in the office located at Pymble at a minimum
  • Flexible Working Arrangements available
  • Health & Fitness $100 yearly reimbursement (conditional)
