We are currently seeking interested applications for a Trainee Civil Construction to join our great team and assist in all types of construction and maintenance works that Council carries out.

About You

In a Trainee, we look for:

What you can learn:

  • Operate small plant and equipment
  • Traffic control, signage installation and road surface paint marking
  • Work as a team to contribute towards common goals and work objectives
  • Contribute to the positive safety culture within the team and ensure a safe workplace for the team and community

While no prior experience is required, a genuine interest in construction and a willingness to learn is essential. We are committed to providing you with the necessary training and support to develop your skills and knowledge, so you can thrive in this role. You will undertake a Certificate III in Civil Construction. 

About the Role

Fixed Term: 76-hour fortnight (Term Contract - 2 years)

Salary: Dependent on skills & experience

NOTE: As the activities of this position could involve exposure to Hepatitis A and B and Q Fever, the employee will be vaccinated against these hazards or required to provide proof of immunity against these diseases.
