About the role

As the Team Leader Landscape Services, you will lead a small, hands-on team delivering the maintenance and enhancement of council streetscapes across the Inner West. You’ll coordinate daily operations to ensure gardens, verges and public spaces are maintained to a high standard and meet community expectations.

Reporting to the Coordinator Landscape Services, you’ll plan and oversee work activities, allocate resources, and ensure your team meets performance targets safely and efficiently. You’ll coach and develop staff, resolve issues on the ground, and foster a positive, high-performing team culture.

This is a practical leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, leading teams, and making a visible impact on the presentation and liveability of public spaces.

Remuneration

$73,696.48 - $80,330.12 + 12% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

  • Relevant horticultural qualification OR equivalent industry experience in streetscape operations.
  • Ability to learn to use field devices (eg. tablets) for managing daily team work plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, including the ability to comprehend maps, street signage & work schedules and complete daily report forms.
  • Understanding and commitment to equal employment opportunities, diversity, work health and safety, ethical practice and acting with probity at all times.
  • NSW Class C Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
  • Suitable level of fitness to perform the inherent duties of the position.
