About the role

This position is a part time, fixed term role to Thursday 1 July 2027 in the sustainability team, based at Moruya. This job share role will be responsible for preparing, delivering and monitoring actions and programs in accordance with the Eurobodalla Climate Action Plan (CAP) and Council sustainability projects. The successful candidate will provide technical advice and data management for: adaptation and mitigation; water and waste conservation; and energy management.

The starting salary for this position is $49.24 per hour plus 12% superannuation.

About you

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate sustainability professional who is looking to do their part in contributing to a more sustainable future for our beautiful Shire! You hold tertiary qualifications in sustainability, climate change, energy management and/or environmental management (or equivalent). Along with this, you bring demonstrated experience delivering multiple projects end‑to‑end, including securing funding, managing staff and contractors, overseeing budgets, implementing works, and monitoring and evaluating outcomes.

With strong technical expertise in climate change mitigation and adaptation, you have hands‑on experience with technologies and initiatives that reduce energy, water and waste impacts. You communicate clearly and confidently, show effective leadership, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
