  • Salary starting from $84,891 (dependant on experience) + super

This role will provide you the opportunity to:

  • Examine and assess planning applications for the use, development and subdivision of land and report to Council with recommendations.
  • Undertake the activities of the statutory planning role in a professional, time efficient and customer focussed manner.
  • Contribute positively to a team approach to the Planning activities.
  • Provide input into policy development and performance targets of the Unit.
  • Contribute to the development of the Unit’s objectives, as well as the corporate goals of Council.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Completed your tertiary qualification in land use planning or a related discipline that meets the requirements of membership to the Planning Institute of Australia.
  • You will enjoy working in a collaborative team and be comfortable liaising with members of the community on a range of matters.
  • The ability to demonstrate an understanding of town planning and development implications with experience in statutory planning;
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of the principles of excellence in customer service; and
  • Ability to contribute and work effectively in a team environment.
