Senior Landscape Assessment Officer
- Salary $106,323.88 to $123,335.16 p/a + super
- Permanent full time position – 35 hours per week

About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader Landscape, Tree and Ecological Assessments, this role will see you undertake and provide professional advice on the assessment of development proposals concerning landscape matters.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to
- Participate in integrated assessment of development proposals
- Provide timely advice and accurate reports concerning landscape and tree assessments
- Attend to public enquiries and provide specialist advice on landscape & tree assessments and development control matters
- Provide technical advice on landscape matters to internal and external stakeholders
- Represent Council at the Land & Environment Court and at local and regional panel meetings
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Landscape Architecture or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Experience in development assessment and analysis
- Knowledge of relevant State and Local Government Legislation
- Understanding of the principals of landscape & urban design
, arboricultureand environmental management - Excellent understanding of the principals of arboriculture in development assessment
- Excellent communication, written, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
