In this role, you will assist the Manager to coordinate the day-to-day activities and tasks of the Land and Development Infrastructure Team. You will be required to provide advice and technical support on landscape, urban water, traffic and civil engineering matters related to land use planning and development.  Your professional knowledge and advice will ensure the City’s landscape and engineering standards, specifications, and guidelines pertaining to land use development are innovative and align with best practice planning outcomes.

You will hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or Urban/Landscape and Design and will have comprehensive experience in civil engineering principles, traffic modelling, planning and landscape and irrigation design. You will also be able to bring extensive experience in the supervision and leadership of a team, along with extensive knowledge of project planning, design assessment, construction techniques, materials and equipment in land subdivision/development related works.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria when completing your online application:

  1. Completion of tertiary qualifications (degree) in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Urban/Landscape Design
  2. High level of research and analysis skills including interrogation of technical data, (urban water management plans, construction environment management plans, traffic reports, landscape and Irrigation strategies)
  3. Extensive experience in the supervision and leadership of a team
  4. Highly developed negotiation, decision-making and analytical skills
  5. Highly developed interpersonal, conflict resolution and public speaking skills
  6. Extensive knowledge of project planning, design assessment, construction techniques, materials and equipment in land subdivision/development related works.

We are offering a total remuneration package range of $126,687 – $135,644 per annum and:

  • the opportunity to co-contribute a further 5% superannuation
