Salary Range: $1,047 to $1,195 per 38 hour week, with a fortnightly RDO

This position is located in Dunedoo. Close to major centres Dunedoo is the southern gateway to the Warrumbungle Region. Purpose of the Position

Located in the southern end of the shire, this person is responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance, operation and emergency repair of Council's water and sewer reticulation network in the towns of Dunedoo, Coolah and surrounding areas. The plumber assists in the implementation of Council’s Drinking Water Management System to ensure the provision of safe drinking water in accordance with health standards and the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.   

Essential Requirements

  • Commitment to Council’s Mission, Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Understanding of work health and safety (WHS) in the workplace and commitment to a positive contribution to WHS in the workplace and compliance with Council and legislative requirements.
  • Current Department of Fair Trading Plumber's and Drainer's licence
  • Backflow Prevention Certificate
  • Participate in rotating on-call roster for emergency call-outs
  • Ability to be onsite in Coolah or Dunedoo within 30 minutes for any emergency call-out and within 30 minutes plus travel time to calls at other centres in the group.
  • OHS Construction Induction Certificate ("white card")
  • Class MR Driver's Licence

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines
  • Current Department of Fair Trading Gasfitter's Licence
  • Current Traffic Controller Ticket (blue ticket)
  • Current Work Site Traffic Control Ticket (yellow ticket)
  • Safe Gravedigging training
  • Front End Loader Ticket
  • Backhoe Ticket
  • Confined Spaces Certificate
  • Chemical Handling Certificate (ChemCert)
  • Working at Heights training
