Payroll Officer - Join Our Dynamic Team!
Salary: $80,499 - $91,467 per annum + Super
Contract Type: Full-time, 3-Year Term Contract (Potential for Extension or Permanency)
About the Role
Are you a detail-driven Payroll Officer looking to make an impact? We're seeking an experienced professional with a keen eye for detail to join our busy, customer-focused payroll team. In this role, you'll help ensure nearly 1,800 employees are paid accurately each week, maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and Enterprise Agreement conditions.
What You'll Do
Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you'll play a key role in end-to-end payroll processing, data auditing, and providing essential payroll support to staff. Your main duties will include:
* Processing weekly payroll and conducting audits on timesheets and payroll data
* Managing new employee onboarding, termination payments, and staff changes
* Handling superannuation, deductions, reimbursements, and reconciling payroll reports
* Maintaining accurate payroll records and providing timely support on payroll inquiries
About You
You thrive in a fast-paced, post-systems integration environment and are always on the lookout for process improvement opportunities. Ideally, you have:
* Strong payroll knowledge and familiarity with tax, superannuation, and payroll transactions
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders across all levels
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
