The City of Kalgoorlie Boulder has recently completed an organisational restructure and is searching for an experienced manager to lead the departments overseeing the wastewater treatment, stormwater harvesting, environmental sustainability and the management of waste services, including the management of a landfill site. In addition, the City is responsible for recycling treated effluent and harvested stormwater for private customers and its own use.
The role requires the management of a small complement of professional staff, a substantial budget comprising both capital and operating elements, as well as many and varied contracted services. This role will also be responsible for the determination of long-term strategies related to each service, together with the Asset Management Plans, Business Area Plans, and Long-Term Financial Plans related to each service.
The person sought must have tertiary qualifications in engineering, environmental sciences, waste management or sewage treatment and must have substantial experience in managing at least one of these areas.

Total Package
