An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced and suitability qualified individual to join City of Darwin in the role of Manager Emergency Planning & Security.
You will be required to work across the organisation to enhance City of Darwin's ability to maintain operations and support our community during and after any disruptive event. You will be project focussed where success will be measured through the enhancement of external awareness, planning, preparation, documenting and capacity building within the organisation so that City of Darwin is able to maintain operations and support our community during any disruptive event. It is also expected that you will play a leadership role in responding to any event that occurs.
As a subject matter expert you will be required to provide informed and sound advice to a range of stakeholders and liaise effectively with both internal and external customers. You will be required to share knowledge and support internal key stakeholders with the facilitation of training in Emergency Management.
To be considered for the role you will have:
- Bachelor of Emergency Management or equivalent Tertiary qualifications in a related field
- At least 5 years relevant experience in Emergency Management or a related field.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic and operational policies, procedures and organisational frameworks.
