  • Part-time permanent role, 25 hours per week, including some evening and weekend shifts
  • Salary from $68,974 to $86,766 p.a. ($49,267 to $61,902 p.a. pro-rata) plus superannuation

The role 

Mosman Council is seeking a motivated library all-rounder to deliver excellent customer service across all library functions, as well as support our Library Resources team.

With a focus on the library customer experience, the role also includes:

  • Supporting arrival of books and other media from our library supply partner
  • Processing, labelling and basic entry of book records
  • Contributing to public programs and events

The role reports to the Team Leader Library Resources, but will have working relationships across the team, including the Library Weekend Supervisor.

This role would suit someone with experience delivering high quality customer service, and some technical library services skills. Full training will be provided.

This is a role that includes two evening shifts (Tuesday and Thursday), one day shift during the week and one weekend shift alternating each week between a Saturday and Sunday. 

What You'll Bring to the Role 

To be successful in this role you will have exceptional customer service skills and experience together with an aptitude to support library collections.

You will have previous library experience, good book knowledge, a life that fits with the roster requirements of the role, and awareness of library systems. Experience contributing to library programs or events would be beneficial.

Above all, you’ll work well with the team and the community to become a great fit with us, and a great connection point for our local community as we continue to deliver high quality library services.
