About the role
This is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm position working 35 hours per week. This position is located at the Nowra Administration Building.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Procurement Supervisor, the focus of this position is to:

  • Responsible for the provision of specialist advice on a range of procurement categories to stakeholders to plan, develop, source, and manage procurement arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives.
  • Maintain and review the FMIS procurement catalogues to ensure organisational procurement is measurable, monitorable, and reportable against adopted Council reporting structure.
  • Deliver technical, procedural, and application training in procurement to support the organisational business objectives and outcomes.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Certificate IV in Procurement/Contracting or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level procurement advice to a large multi-functional government organisation.
  • Demonstrated 3+ years of experience providing advice and support in procurement processes including tenders, quotations, and expressions of interest in a Local Government Environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in interpreting Local Government NSW tendering legislation.
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)

Council requires applicants for this position to undergo a National Criminal History Check during the recruitment process. This check will be at the expense of Council.
