We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Information Systems Technical Officer to support and enhance Council’s systems and information services.

About the Opportunity
In this role, you'll provide efficient operational and technical support, assist in improving service delivery through system enhancements, and ensure seamless user experience for both internal and external customers. You'll work closely with the Service Desk Team Leader to implement best practices while delivering professional, friendly, and responsive customer service. If you have a keen eye for problem-solving, a customer-first mindset, and a drive for continuous improvement this is the role for you.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- Post-secondary qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV level), or currently studying, Information Systems. (For example, Certificate IV in IT etc.) and/ or relevant experience in the area of Information Systems
- Proven experience working with business process and/or IT concepts and maintaining and installing major software applications
- Proven expertise in delivering services within a service desk environment
- Proven ability to complete assigned tasks within established deadlines
- Proven experience working with project teams preferably during the implementation of business-related software
- Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment
- Current drivers licence
Salary and conditions
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $77,725.96 to $89,201.84 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
