Description

We are seeking a Support Officer to join our Governance and Risk team. A focus for this role is to provide high quality and timely governance and risk support services with a particular emphasis on improving risk management culture, embedding strong governance practices and business efficiency across the organisation.

Rous County Council is situated in Lismore, the heart of the Northern Rivers with an operational footprint covering 3,000km2. As a county council, we are responsible for providing three specific functions; bulk water supply, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation.

  • Starting salary $67,121 (plus statutory superannuation)

Your average workday will be kept busy by: 

  • Providing high level administrative, data entry, and support services including undertaking research, information gathering, and drafting reports, letters and other documents.
  • Contributing to the implementation, maintenance and testing of Council’s risk/emergency management plans
