About The Role

The Executive Assistant to the Director Corporate plays a critical role in the efficient operation of the Corporate Directorate. This position is responsible for coordinating various activities, including executive and corporate reporting, correspondence, briefings, directorate events and training. The Executive Assistant ensures that all documentation is prepared and delivered professionally and on time to Executive, Council, Committees, and internal leadership forums.

This role requires a proactive approach in managing escalated requests and sensitive matters, supporting effective governance, customer service, and communication across the Directorate while collaborating with managers and key stakeholders. The Executive Assistant will also contribute to business improvement initiatives and provide oversight of allocated budgets.

The role also provides administrative and project support to the Corporate Leadership team and their divisions, including senior managers across Finance, Property and Performance, Corporate Governance, People and Culture, Information Management and Technology and Customer and Engagement.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who is self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong desire to support Council’s corporate services directorate.

  • Possess a Diploma in Business Administration or a related field or have equivalent extensive experience working in a similar role.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills with an ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, acting as a key point of contact for executives and councillors.
  • Bring emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills to foster collaboration across all levels of the organisation.

  • Package:$88,129-$93,415 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
  • Hours of work:Permanent Full Time role.You will have the option of a 19-day month through Council’s flex system.
