The Package: $87,820.20 - $97,041.36 gross per annum + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 13 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.
Full-time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.
Are you passionate about fostering economic growth and creating opportunities for local businesses to grow and thrive? Council is seeking someone to drive initiatives that will help us expand our diverse and resilient economy.
In this role you will:
- Collaborate with local businesses and stakeholders to develop impactful economic and tourism initiatives that drive growth in visitation and spending.
- Analyse economic and tourism data to measure outcomes and identify future opportunities.
- Organise workshops, networking events, and create opportunities for local businesses through collaboration with marketing, placemaking, events, and arts teams.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in areas such as business, tourism, marketing, or similar.
- Has experience working with small businesses and is aware of their opportunities and challenges.
- Possesses a strong understanding of the tourism industry, with the ability to partner with our marketing team to deliver projects that develop the visitor economy.
- Can apply analytical and creative thinking skills to understand a situation, and identify innovative and practical solutions.
