  • 25 hours per week | 9.30am – 2.30pm | Monday to Friday

The Opportunity

The Customer Service Officer at the Citiplace Community Centre is adynamic and essential role in creating a welcoming atmosphere at the centre, serving as the first point of contact for visitors. This position is key to ensuring the seamless operation of services, with a special focus on managing room hires and overseeing all related needs, including catering and audio-visual support. Your contribution will directly enhance the experience of every guest and help the centre run smoothly and efficiently!

Reporting to the Supervisor Citiplace Community Centre, your responsibilities would primarily include:

 

  • Providing an individualised and courteous service to customers.
  • General administrative and clerical support, and respond to customers via multiple channels;
  • Handling bookings for rooms and events at the Centre, including assisting room hirers with room viewings, support in using the audio-visual equipment and catering requests; and
  • Undertake the safe handling and accurate recording of monetary payments.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Experience in outstanding customer service;
  • Effective numeracy, written and verbal communication skills; 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.; and
  • Strong adaptability in the face of changing technology, with a willingness to learn new digital tools.

Eligibility

To be eligible to work for us, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A right to work in Australia (e.g. a birth certificate, current passport or current visa);
  • Fitness for work via a pre-employment medical
  • A Working with Children’s Check, or eligible to obtain; and
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
