Temporary Full-time Opportunity up to December 2024 for a Coordinator Wastewater Network to join our Water Services Branch!

 

The Opportunity:

The purpose of the Coordinator Wastewater Network is to lead the Wastewater Network teams to deliver operational and maintenance functions of Council’s Wastewater sewerage network, providing technical expertise, guidance, planning and coordination of operational work schedules. The role must ensure that the budget, safety and operating standards, operational and regulatory monitoring and reporting systems, and team capability are adhered to.

The coordinator is responsible for customer interaction and service delivery to the community, including the review and planning of DAs; provision of quotations for requested works (service connections, mains construction etc.), management and completion of asset project documentation and ensuring compliance and standards are developed and implemented into new service infrastructure and capital works programs.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualification in Water Industry relevant to Plumbing and Drainage, holding valid Plumbers licence with at least seven years practical experience in industrial/commercial plumbing including civil developments.
  2. Solid practical and technical experience in the delivery of operational industry requirements for wastewater headworks, pump stations and sewerage network (including AS3500 and construction to WSAA standards).
  3. Knowledge and experience in the preparation of technical specifications, project scoping and coordination, progress, inspection and testing reports.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in managing preventative and reactive works on wastewater sewerage networks.
  5. Demonstrated ability in financial business management specifically interpreting, developing, facilitating and reporting on operational budgets and other financial reporting
  6. Proven ability in managing multidisciplinary teams using effective communication and leadership to achieve team and business objectives,
  7. Demonstrated ability to communicate and lead multidisciplinary teams, providing team members with fair and consistent feedback and apply coaching and mentoring skills to enhance performance and achieve operational and strategic objectives.
  8. Hold a C Class Drivers Licence and WHS Induction Card.
