Catering Officer

Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Casual Catering Officer to join Cooee Lodge Aged Care Facility.

About the position

This position will assist in the delivery of food services within Council's aged care facility - Cooee Lodge, including ordering, preparation, cleaning and regulatory compliance.

• Casual
• Rostered Monday - Sunday
• Weekly pay cycle 
• Salary $30.88 per hour plus applicable penalty rates 

About you: 

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and or qualifications 

• Experience in cooking an working in a large commercial kitchen or similar
• Knowledge and skills in preparation of special dietary needs in accordance with care plans 
• Have a good understanding of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) to ensure a high standard of food safety, preparation and storage.
• Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety
• Ability to work with and empathy towards the elderly
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Knowledge of NSW Food Authority regulation
