Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Casual Catering Officer to join Cooee Lodge Aged Care Facility.
About the position
This position will assist in the delivery of food services within Council's aged care facility - Cooee Lodge, including ordering, preparation, cleaning and regulatory compliance.
- Casual
- Rostered Monday - Sunday
- Weekly pay cycle
- Salary $30.88 per hour plus applicable penalty rates
About you:
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and or qualifications
- Experience in cooking an working in a large commercial kitchen or similar
- Knowledge and skills in preparation of special dietary needs in accordance with care plans
- Have a good understanding of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) to ensure a high standard of food safety, preparation and storage.
- Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety
- Ability to work with and empathy towards the elderly
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Knowledge of NSW Food Authority regulation
