Council owns and operates the Cobar Shire & TAFE Library, Great Cobar Museum, Lilliane Brady Village (aged care facility), Children's Services, Youth & Fitness Centre as well as works depots in Euabalong and Cobar.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will need to anticipate the needs of the Director and Managers, showing initiative, flexibility and resourcefulness, whilst willingly adapting in an environment of fluctuating workloads and changing priorities in order to meet operational outcomes and deadlines - all with minimal supervision. You will be logical and solutions focused by nature, have excellent judgement and the maturity to deal with sensitive business matters.

You will need the ability to work collaboratively with others to build productive working relationships that achieve results in a busy, fast paced environment - we want someone who bonds the team together to function as a high performance business unit. To achieve that we require a competent user of all Microsoft Office applications, an articulate communicator, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and outstanding stakeholder management skills. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Administration Coordinator will provide high quality, professional, and efficient support as well as exceptional customer service for and on behalf of Council's engineering department.  

Reporting to the Director Engineering Services, this role is essentially the 'office manager' for the department and will support the Director to ensure the successful overall performance of the department. With a strong focus on executive level administrative support, this role will be highly organised, customer focused, and continually looking for ways to improve business systems and processes.

The salary for this full time position commences at $74,000 ($40.92/hr) plus superannuation, with employment terms and conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working a nine-day fortnight, 35 hours per week.
