Training and upskilling programs

We have a number of training programs and services to help locals build the skills they need to gain employment and get ahead at work.

Our Young Communities team run a variety of free and low-cost opportunities specifically for young people aged 12 to 25 to upskill and strengthen their employability.  Visit the Employability Skill Development page for more details.

The Melton Learning Directory has a wide range of learning opportunities throughout the year, including accredited courses.

In partnership with Djerriwarrh Community and Education Services, our Libraries also run workshops to help the community update their resume, write cover letters, have job applications proofread and provide useful tips for job interviews. Visit our Library Program page for more information.

Council also runs community training sessions for people of all ages, with workshops on grant writing, public speaking, website design and business development throughout the year.  Visit the Community Training Calendar to view workshops currently open for registration.
